we're a tutorial site for the graphic program adobe photoshop.
so please, don't ask us questions that aren't related to it
like image hosting, or any other html coding.

thank you.

ooh NICEE..erhm, i was just wondering how you download fonts/brushes?
Posted by CANDiCEEy_xD

there are 245243502436 font and or brush providers. so good luck on finding one. but usually when you want to download fonts/brushes you need to have a unzipper because most of these files are saved as .zip
some brushes are saved as stamps, and that's were they have a collection of brushes on a blank background, you save the brushes. we have a tutorial on that. and in the future i plan on posting stamps.
your question has a lot of different answers, so keep in touch with us.

umm...i was wondering how you upload a banner onto your site that you made because i made a banner on photoshope elements 3 and everytime i put it on my site, it looks REALLY big on the page and i got the url from photobucket...is that wrong site to go to?

no, in fact, photobucket is theeee perfect place. but sometimes if your banner is too big, they'll automatically resize it. you can try imageshack.us because they will take your banners at their original size without resizing them if it's too big.

Hi! I'm not even a beginner yet. I would like to start making headers and things of that nature, and I was wondering if you could tell me what program, and what version would be best for me. Please, comment back.

i use adobe photoshop 6, which is the older version. you can use adobe photoshop, paintshop pro, or some people use plain old paint. but there are more programs you can use. but obviously, here, we have tutorials for adobe ps only

we'll be more than happier to help you. so here's the tutorial:
______________________________________________

open your image. and using the marquee select tool, select the area you want to still be there.

go to select - modify - smooth. set the pixels to whatever you please.

now go to select - inverse or just press shift - control - i

press delete.

to get the border, go to edit -stroke.
so here it is:

i'm sorry that i don't have much visual help.

THRESHOLD by fariza

1. First open up the image you would like to use the threshold effect
on. [i used naima for ANTM]

[make sure to delete the background layer]

2. Go to IMAGE >> ADJUSTMENTS >> then at the very bottom click on
THRESHOLD!
a new window will pop up that looks like this

3. Mess around with the arrow until you find what you want it to look
like,
then put the layer as OVERLAY it should look like this

4. Then create a new layer![make sure the layer is NORMAL and NOT
OVERLAY]
make sure the 2nd layer is under the layer with the picture! You can move it with your mouse if it isnt!

6. Then pick your forground and background colors, and MAKE SURE that you are on LAYER 2 [i recomend using white and another color]

5. Then click on your granit tool and drag it across the picture in any
direction like this

6. There you have it, if you did it correctly it should look like this

***** REMEMBER. if i looks like this:

then you were on the first layer [the one with the picture] make sure you are on the SECOND layer [the blank one]!
_______________________________________________

instead of using the picture on overlay, you can experiment with other blending modes like screen or multiply.

this is an example of using multiply [instead of overlay]. the original image is still solid, and seen.

here's another example but it's using screen. i like this one better.

and instead of using just gradient you can have patterns or another image.

thanks fariza for the tutorial =)
